We have recently purchased our property and our house is situated on a hillside plot.  The front garden was laid to lawn and was extremely difficult to cut on such a steep slope.  We called in James Garden Landscaping to see if they might have any ideas which would make our plot more attractive and more easily manageable. Dougie James came up with some lovely plans.  His vision was for the garden to emulate its woodland surroundings.  We were very happy with his design and he sent in his team of gardeners to bring his plan to fruition. The team were hardworking and courteous.  They were pleasant with my new neighbours and made sure they cleared up every afternoon before they left.

We are more than delighted with the completed garden which has completely transformed the appearance of our house.  The garden has been terraced with large natural weathered stones, which have been carefully planted in between to give us all-year-round interest.  A path has been installed to allow practical access to the rear of our property for wheelie-bins, etc.  The look was completed with scree and turf placed with areas which are on the flat and easy to maintain.

Thank you so much Dougie to you and your team.  We now have a garden of which we are very proud and we are looking forward to it maturing in the coming years.  We are more than happy for any of your future clients to visit us to see the results of your artistic and practical vision.  We highly recommend your services.

The whole experience from design through to completion was a pleasure and the end result better than I ever hoped for. But I know its only going to get better!

I couldn’t believe how easy it was talking to Donald about the design. How he translated my ramblings into the design that he delivered I’ll never know but I loved it as soon as I saw it. He has a rare talent and is putting it to good use!

I can truly say that I enjoyed the whole experience. What could have been quite a difficult part, watching my much loved garden being taken apart, was made easy because I had confidence in you and your team and never doubted your ability to deliver. Gavin was fantastic throughout, always taking the time to explain what was happening and reassure me when I needed it.
The attention to detail was superb and friends have remarked on the craftmanship of the structural bits like the decking, bridges and gates. All of the team were really professional- they respected my home and garden at all times, clearing up at the end of every day, maintaining a great relationship with my neighbours and making sure that neither they nor I were inconvenienced.

The best part for me, was that you were brave  enough to allow me to ‘help’ when I could, and that has allowed me to feel that I was a part of creating the garden. I can’t really say how important that was – although now I have a garden that is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, its still mine, not something that someone else just delivered.

Gavin and the boys were brilliant, a joy to work with. They always found me something I could do that was within my capabilities, and one of the nicest things was that they were all as enthusiastic as me about the design and how it would look when it was finished.

The garden was only just finished when 2 feet of snow landed on it and I didn’t see it for several weeks. I was so worried that it had so little time to become established before being hit with the worst snow for years but I needn’t have. There was remarkably little damage which I think is a testament to the quality of the work. I did, however, really appreciate the fact that you took the time to come round and check personally which I think illustrates your approach to customer care which is second to none.

So now I look forward to years of pleasure watching a fantastic design grow into a truly magnificent garden with your help. I’m not a knowledgeable gardener and so knowing that I can contact you at any time for advice is wonderful. I really can’t thank you all enough!

Colin and I are really pleased with all the paving around the house, with the additional room we now have at the back for entertaining and for the help and guidance provided moving the plants. Originally, when we built our home, we employed a company to design a water feature. Although the result was satisfactory, we always knew there was room for improvement. With your skill, you altered the layout and turned our garden into what, we now know, it should have been.
